For more than twenty years, Christienne Hopkins Sherouse has tried cases in Florida’s state and federal courts with over 50 jury trials to verdict. Her practice focuses on first party homeowner insurance litigation, insurance coverage disputes, automobile/trucking litigation, negligent security, premises liability, and product liability.
Her trial experience allows Ms. Sherouse insight into how best to present cases to South Florida juries as well as advising clients on evaluating their chances at trial and the best manner to resolve their cases. In addition to defending her clients in litigation, she has won their trust by guiding them in developing ways to avoid the problems that lead to litigation.
Ms. Sherouse also advises clients on Florida bad faith law and how to avoid the pit-falls associated with the ever-changing bad faith case law. Ms. Sherouse provides continuing education courses to clients in areas relevant to her practice and their business.
Ms. Sherouse is AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory, and she is recognized as one of South Florida’s “Top Lawyers” in Insurance Litigation Defense by the South Florida Legal Guide. Ms. Sherouse chairs the Florida Defense Lawyers Association’s Insurance Coverage Committee and is a member of Claims & Litigation Management Alliance.
Community service is important to Ms. Sherouse, and over the years she’s maintained an active involvement in the community. She served on the Miami-Dade County Planning Advisory Board for eleven years, and she chaired the Camillus House Young Leaders for many years, raising funds for and providing mentoring and tutoring services at this homeless shelter. Currently she is a Board Member of Friends of the Everglades and volunteers at a homeless shelter.
